Description

Let’s dive into the mysterious world of the forest, where life, silence, and the sounds of nature merge.

Koshi Forest is the new “Earth Symphony” collection air bell, inspired by deep, mysterious forests and their unique atmosphere. Its melody invites you to slow down, listen to your surroundings, and find peace. It is a subtle musical instrument with a deep, rich, and multilayered sound.

The bell body is made of natural oak, and inside it are attached twelve hand-matched metal rods. Four of them are duplicated—tuned to the same frequencies and acting as resonant rods. This design gives the sound more depth, richness, longer resonance, and more overtones.

Melody and sound

Koshi Forest is tuned to the 440 Hz frequency, and its melody belongs to the F# minor scale (F# minor). Bell notes: C#, F#, F#, G#, G#, A, A, C#, F#, G#, A, C#. Its sound is deep, somewhat mysterious and contemplative, reminiscent of the silence, life, and subtle voices of nature.

How to play Koshi bell?

Hold the bell by the string, let it hang freely, and gently twist your wrist. The hammer inside, by touching the metal rods, produces a rich, harmoniously intertwined melody of sounds. Gently rocking the bell back and forth can produce individual notes. It can also be hung so that the melody is created by the natural movement of the wind.

Application in

sound practices Koshi Forest is perfect for meditation, sound therapy, sound yoga, and relaxation practices. It can complement the sound of singing bowls, gongs, and other musical instruments, create a subtle sonic background, or invite listeners into deeper listening. The bell can also be used at the beginning and end of meditation to help create a cozy, calm atmosphere.

“Earth Symphony” collection

Forest is one of the four melodies in the “Earth Symphony” collection. The bells of Mountain, Forest, River, and Ocean are designed to harmonize with each other. They can be played separately or together, creating a rich, naturally blending harmony of nature’s sounds.

Handmade Production

Each Koshi bell is handmade in France, at the foothills of the Pyrenees. Twelve steel rods made of silver are attached to a metal base and carefully matched one by one. The natural oak resonant body amplifies vibrations and gives the sound warmth and long-lasting resonance. The hammer is made of brass and coconut shell. No plastic is used in production.
