Description

Let’s dive into the boundless expanse of the ocean and its deep, soothing flow of sounds.

Koshi Ocean is the new “Earth Symphony” collection’s air bell, inspired by the vastness of the ocean, infinity, and a sense of freedom. Its melody evokes vast water spaces, constant movement, and the boundless natural world. It is a subtle musical instrument characterized by a deep, wide, and exceptionally harmonious sound.

The bell body is made of natural maple wood, and inside it are attached twelve hand-matched metal rods. Four of them are duplicated—tuned to the same frequencies and acting as resonant rods. This construction gives the sound more depth, richness, longer resonance, and more overtones.

Melody and sound

Koshi Ocean is tuned to a frequency of 440 Hz, and its melody is based on the B major pentatonic scale (B major pentatonic). Bell notes: C#, D#, D#, F#, F#, B, B, C#, D#, F#, B, C#. The pentatonic tone gives the melody a special harmonious sound. It features a wide, deep, and pleasant flow of sounds that can evoke the infinity of the ocean, movement, and calm.

How to play Koshi bell?

Hold the bell by the string, let it hang freely, and gently rotate your wrist. The hammer inside, by touching the metal rods, produces a harmonious melody of intertwined sounds. Gently rocking the bell back and forth can produce individual notes, and a freely hung bell can also sound from the natural movement of the wind. Each movement creates a slightly different melody.

Application in

sound practices Koshi Ocean is perfect for meditation, sound therapy, sound yoga, and relaxation practices. Its wide and deep sound beautifully complements the sounds of singing bowls, gongs, and other musical instruments. The bell can start or end a meditation session, create a subtle sonic atmosphere, or invite listeners to embark on a peaceful journey of sounds.

“Earth Symphony” collection

Ocean is one of the four melodies in the “Earth Symphony” collection. The bells Mountain, Forest, River, and Ocean are designed so that their melodies naturally harmonize with each other. They can be played separately or together, creating a rich, cohesive, and harmonious world of natural sounds.

Handmade Production

Each Koshi bell is handmade in France, at the foothills of the Pyrenees. Twelve steel wires with silver are attached to a metal base and carefully matched one by one. The natural maple wood resonant body amplifies vibrations and gives the sound warmth and long-lasting resonance. The hammer is made of brass and coconut shell. No plastic is used in production.
