Four bells – four different sound worlds

Each Koshi bell from the “Earth Symphony” collection has a unique melody and sound character:

• Mountain – a vast, deep, and contemplative sound inspired by the grandeur, silence, and stability of the mountains.
• Forest – a deep, rich, and slightly mysterious sound reminiscent of the vibrant forest world.
• River – a light, smooth, and positive flow of sounds, symbolizing movement and change.
• Ocean – a vast, deep, and harmonious sound inspired by the infinity and freedom of the ocean.

The melodies of all four bells are specially created to harmonize with each other. They can be played separately or together, creating ever-changing, naturally blending sound compositions.

Exceptional design and rich sound

Each Koshi set bell has a natural wood resonant body and twelve hand-matched metal rods. The four rods are duplicated—tuned to the same frequencies and acting as resonant rods. This design gives the sound more depth, richness, and longer-lasting resonance.

All four bells are tuned to a frequency of 440 Hz, so their melodies harmonize with each other. The rods of each bell form a unique musical harmony:

• Mountain – E major.
• Forest – F minor

How to play Koshi bells?

Hold the bell by the string, let it hang freely, and gently twist your wrist. The hammer inside, by touching the metal rods, will produce a harmonious melody of intertwined sounds. Gently rocking the bell back and forth can produce individual notes, and hanging it in the right spot will create the melody along with the natural movement of the wind.

By playing with the sounds of different bells, you can create various musical compositions, let melodies intertwine, and discover new harmonies.

Application in audio practices

The Koshi Earth Symphony set is perfect for meditation, sound therapy, sound yoga, and various relaxation practices. The bells can be used together with singing bowls, gongs, and other musical instruments, complementing sound sessions with subtle melodies and helping create a special atmosphere.

They can be used to start or end meditation, mark transitions between different practices, or simply invite listeners to pause and listen. Because of their lightness, the bells are convenient to move around the space, allowing sound to spread around the listeners.

Handmade Manufacturing in France

All four Koshi bells are meticulously handmade at the foothills of the Pyrenees in France. Twelve steel wires made of silver are attached to a metal base and matched one by one, with special attention to note accuracy.

Each bell has a resonant body of different wood:

• Mountain – a walnut tree coated with a thin matte lacquer.
• Forest – oak.
• River – cherry wood.
• Ocean – maple wood.

The hammers are made from brass and coconut shells. No plastic is used in production.
